Mobility 40G

The Mobility 40G antenna is the four-chain cellular workhorse of Peplink’s Mobility range: 4×4 MIMO for 5G and LTE plus a high-gain LNA GPS receiver, in one IP68 dome. No Wi-Fi elements — every lead goes to cellular or GPS, which is exactly what you want when the router is doing the heavy lifting and your access points live elsewhere.

When the Mobility 40G antenna is the right choice

Choose it when your router has a 4×4 MIMO modem, or two 2×2 modems, and you want every chain terminated. A 4×4 modem fed by a two-element antenna runs at half its potential — the two unused chains simply sit idle. Four elements in one dome fix that without adding a second mount or a second hole in the roof.

If you also want Wi-Fi radiating from the roof, the Mobility 42G adds two Wi-Fi chains to the same four cellular elements. If your router only has a single 2×2 modem, the Mobility 20G or the Wi-Fi-equipped Mobility 22G will serve you for less.

Choosing your Mobility 40G antenna configuration

• Connector — the 40G is the only Mobility antenna offered in three connector types: SMA male, QMA male, and N-Type. Most Peplink desktop and mobile routers take SMA; several embedded and MBX-class units use QMA; N-Type is the choice for marine and long-run installs where a more robust, weather-tolerant connection matters.
• Cable length — 1 ft / 0.3 m when the router sits directly beneath the dome, 6.5 ft / 2 m for a normal cabin or cabinet run. Use the shortest run that reaches; coax loss is signal you never get back.
• Colour — black or white, to match a vehicle roof or a white fibreglass deck.
