Frequently asked questions

Can one router use two carriers at once?Yes — dual-modem models like the Transit Duo Pro hold SIMs from two carriers simultaneously and bond them with SpeedFusion. Where one carrier fades and the other is strong, traffic shifts automatically with no drop.

Does GPS tracking require a separate subscription?GPS hardware is built in, and location reporting flows into InControl2 fleet maps. InControl2 is included for the first year with most routers; after that it’s a low-cost annual renewal.

How do these handle vehicle power?

MAX-series routers run on 12/24V vehicle DC with ignition sensing — they boot with the vehicle and shut down cleanly after a delay you set, protecting the battery.

Can you pre-configure 50+ routers for a fleet rollout?

Yes. Volume orders ship pre-provisioned: APNs, SSIDs, VPN, and InControl2 groups configured so installers just mount and connect antennas. Ask about fleet pricing.

Rolling out 10, 50, or 500 vehicles? Ask about fleet pricing.

Fleet connectivity that survives the coverage map

A fleet router is only as good as its weakest coverage zone. Peplink MAX routers take multiple SIMs — and on dual-modem models, multiple carriers at once — so your vehicles hold a connection across county lines, rural routes, and urban canyons. Built-in GPS feeds InControl2 fleet tracking, giving dispatch live location and connectivity status for every vehicle. Every Peplink fleet router we sell supports SpeedFusion bonding for session-level resilience.

Antennas matter as much as routers

Pair any MAX router with a roof-mount antenna — a proper external antenna typically doubles usable cellular range versus paddle antennas. BuyPeplink pre-configures fleet orders end to end; see our Transit in-vehicle lineup or request fleet pricing.
